College Illinois and ISAC
In 1957, Illinois state lawmakers created the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) to ensure that financial considerations did not prevent Illinois students from realizing their postsecondary educational goals. The 529 Prepaid Tuition Plan are sponsored by the state to help families fund future college costs with tax benefits granted by Section 529 of the IRS Code. Chaney won RFPs to help the state promote both aspects of the program with student family promotion/education and web-based information.
