Mr. Big Bank
Wintrust Marketing was looking for a way to position their local community banks against an influx of large national chain banks. Enter Mr. Big Bank the selfish, self-centered banker who only has his own interests at heart. Mr. Big Bank was used for in-store signage, series-based direct mail and became the star of the local newspaper. He started as a test at one bank and was pulled into other bank groups.

 

Your Change Treated Royally
In order to top the approximately $3 billion dollars in loose change in piggy banks and dresser drawers, Wintrust marketing introduced free coin counting machines in selected locations. The character “Coin King” was actually created after the machines we’re named, but it all worked perfectly. The character “Coin King” was designed to tie in with junior savers as coloring books and other materials to promote saving.
