Inductotrace Portable Respiration Monitor
A sleep laboratory standard for paradoxical breathing associated with apnea.
The newest edition to the Bio-logic Sleepscan line, The Inductotrace is a respiratory inductive plethysmograph (RIP), measuring breath contributions of the chest and abdomen.
The Portable Inductotrace consists of two elastic bands with insulated wires (Inductobands) wrapped around the rib cage and abdomen, which connect to an Oscillator and Calibration unit. It measures rib cage and abdomen compartmental volume excursions through changes in self- inductance of the Inductobands. The sum of these two excursions can be auto-calibrated via the Sleepscan™ Vision software without the need of a spirometer. The sensors come in sizes to fit torsosfrom premature infants to extra-large adults.
