Legislation
Requires the Department of Health and Family Services (DHFS) to collect data on newborn hearing screening programs that use currently available medical technologies. By February 5, 2003, DHFS to determine percentage of hearing screenings for deliveries in hospitals (with more than 300 births). If less than 88%, newborn hearing screening programs to be required by July 1, 2003.
