Legislation
Requires that hospitals screen every newborn for a hearing loss using appropriate technology and report the results to the Department of Health. Creates the Newborn Hearing Screening Committee to advise the Department of Health on program administration. Requires the Department of Health to coordinate the establishment of a central data management system.
