Legislation
Establishes a program of early hearing impairment (sic) screening, identification, and follow-up from birth to 36 months. Rules to establish the program to include: (a) appropriate methodology to establish, implement, and evaluate the program; (b) guidelines for screening, identification, diagnosis, and monitoring of infants with hearing impairment (sic) and infants at risk for delayed onset of hearing impairment (sic); (c) in conjunction with the Department of Education, a plan to involve parents in medical and educational follow-up; and (d) a plan for data collection and evaluation of the program.
