Manufacturing Engineer
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
With minimal guidance, coordinates and finalizes the transfer of product design information to Manufacturing, to facilitate setting up and/or changing production processes as necessary to efficiently produce products. Provide engineering assistance to Manufacturing as requested, to solve problems and improve processes.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering and at least 5 years related experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Master's degree or higher is helpful.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- AutoCad and/or other Mechanical and Electrical design packages.
- Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Microsoft Project.
- Knowledge and application of basic statistics.
- Creative problem solving skills.
- Good organization skills.
- Capable of handling multiple projects at the same time.
- Certification as a Quality System Auditor very helpful.
- Familiarity with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Guidances as applicable to Design Controls and Software Validation, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and applicable ISO standards (ISO 13485, ISO 14971, etc.).
